Default its not a group buy, standard price and yes its available

email me offlist and i'll give you the details.

just to let you know, those kits for $185 that everyone gets are not genuine and come with no warranty. I have negotiated a deal with the USA distributor of McCulloch HIDs to offer them for $260 shipped WITH a one year USA warranty ($40 off retail). The price covers any color temps.

The fake kits are $185, 196, and $205 for 5300,6000, and 8000k respectively.

Default My "fake kit" has been working just fine.

The way you start hawking your own HID kit every time this other kit is mentioned seems a little sketchy.

I don't think it's sketchy if they are being sold as McCulloch and in fact are not.

Default HK vs. OEM?

I picked up a complete TT setup with projectors, including the price of the brakets it all going to be less than $300.00. The HK kit is cheaper, is it worth the extra work to retrofit the whole OEM deal vs. the pop in HK kit?

Default my two sets of "fakes" are working just fine too. I have a third set

and I removed the back of one of the ballasts, the board is completely encased in potting material. How convenient for the "real" Mcculloch makers to say these are fakes when there is no way to verify.

Default i'm sure it does, i never said they were bad. i just stated the facts and offered an alternative

choice that some members have already decided to use.

Default well i have contacted 5 of the McCulloch dealers and they all know and dispise Andy C

Tim, i'm not taking sides one way or the other but i ran into a problem personally with a kit from Andy. Upon further research i found out they weren't real or at least not authorized to be sold in the USA or produced by McCulloch.

what is potting material and can you post a pic of the ballast you opened?
