Me again, I Re-tested the spark with the coil tester, this time with a better Ground Wire. my last
test was not grounded well enough i suspected, so with a bigger, better ground wire i tested the coils in the dark, they all jump 25kv+ with strong looking sparks. Infact i was surprised how wide they were.
#1 was the same as the others. If it wasn't i was going to try a new coil and see what happens with a new plug. But now i dont even know, even if i try an ECU from kelly, how the hell can i tell if its better. I don't see how it can even be the spark now. The reason i thought it was is due to seeing a weak spark with the 5 spark plugs sparking, but that could have been a crappy plug so i retested with the coil tester with not findings.
I think im going to get a 9 inch 6mm(?) allen wrench and take off the IM and clean out the ports, maybe #1 has a blockage. I cant think of ANYTHING else to try.

Don't mess with the IM.
That's not your problem. You end up making things worse.
Sounds like it's leaky valve stem seals, ring, or headgasket in that cylinder. That or there's a problem with the injector.
What state are you located in? Maybe someone here can give you a hand?

Injectors cleaned, and i swapped #1 with #2. Compression is 150+PSI. i wont touch the IM, i just
dont know what help i could even get. As far as testing stuff, everything is fine.
The only issues are the poor MPG's, idle studder, hesitation (rare) and the #1 plug gets black over time.

well Dave isnt 25 pretty damn big? I mean the spark was incredibly strong on #1 an the rest.
But i can try bigger, i just thought that if it was that strong with that big of a gap it ruled it out, all the posts i saw from people who found weak coils said it was pretty obvious from just the width of the spark, not just if it would jump.
Also, at that big of a gap, say 30-35, should all coils stop jumping at the same gap? i can see if one stopped at 15, and the others did 30. ill try 30 on them and see what i find though.

Dave it was hesitating like crazy this morning in 2nd up a hill. it would hesitate for 4-5 seconds
and then the power would kick in again. But i believe the coil is jumping gaps as big as the others because when it works, it works. when it doesn't, it doesn't fire at all. possible?
