Motor mounts shot?

Hey everyone,
What would the symptoms of worn/shot motor mounts be? I've got vibration from the engine when idling and a fairly significant clunk from the front when shifting fast at high rpms. Any way to test these things? Thanks,
Rokas

Your clunk is being caused by the passenger side tranny mount. It sags letting the downpipe hit a crossmember. But your motor mounts are probably done as well at this point causing the idle vibration..
If you do them in the below order you will notice the biggest difference (assuming you don't do them all at once):
Pass side tranny mount - will get rid of the clunk
Pass side engine mount - will make it idle much smoother but make sure you ahve a good assortment of ratchet extensions and knuckles as it is hard to get to the top mount nut
Driver side engine mount - this is the easiest one to change, might make sense to do this one first if only to see exactly how the one under the turbo needs to be donw since you can't see it
Drive side tranny mount
Hope this helps,
