Need help from VAG techies re: 1.8t coil pack markings.
I am helping a fellow on Audifans with his 1.8t coil pack temperature investigation. He found that the 115 R coil packs seem to run 30 deg F cooler when the car is pushed than the coil packs that came with his 1.8t coil pack kit from 034 (he says those coils aren't marked). His new ones from the dealer are definitely "115 R"s.
I have two 115L coil packs from my "stash" in my hands.
The markings on them are:
VW AG (okay they're for Volkswagen Ltd.)
06B 905 115L (Part Number)
BAK DE 53 (53 is in a square box)(??)
BREMI 12496ESM (So they were made by Bremi)
L1 D4BB 5 31/3 (I thought 31/3 was a date but see below)
The second one is the same except the "last" line is:
L1 3535 7 41/03 (okay, March 41st)
Anybody out there speak VWAG/Bremi?
Dave F.
