Default Needed asap: photo of camshafts @ TDC. Not the belt sprocket, but the camshaft alignment marks...

When the engine is at TDC (or the crankshaft is aligned to the mark on the lower t.belt cover) do the alignment dowels in the camshafts sprockets point at each other at 3 and 9 (left to right looking at them front the front of the car).

TIA!!!

How tight is the Chain suppose to be? In the Picture it looks fairly taut.
I looked at mine last night and it seems to have some sloppiness to it, is there a way to tighten it?

I'll get a pic later to post

Default Two things to remember: Pi*R^2 and you can't push a rope. The exhaust cam is on the right and...

it is driven by the crank pulley via the cam/timing belt. In turn, the exhaust cam PULLS the intake cam along with it, i.e. the top part of the chain is in tension. NO SLACK. If you have slack, you have either a cam alignment problem, e.g. intake cam rolled down too far, or the chain is very worn and has a bunch of slack in it.
