Default The never ending saga continues

Tuesdays have become my official "tinker with the Audi" day since i have no morning classes. In the past few weeks i've installed a new (lower temp) thermoswith for the fan, a radiator flush, oil change, installed my rear mudflaps. Nothing big mind you, just my little projects. Yesterday was, again, full of progress with a spark plug change and a Pentsion flush. The plugs had been in for ~30-35,000 miles, the coil boots were origonal and warn, and the gasket around the coil cover leaked; so everything was replaced. The plugs looked decent, but i could see where oil leaked to them from before i did the vcg. The Pentsion on the other hand, came out pretty nasty, almost the color of dirty motor oil. I used the procedure written up by one of the A8 guys and was happy with the outcome. All-in-all the tinkering took a little over an hour. Not bad for a nice Tuesday morn. Just thought i'd share.

The old plugs, with a new one. Excuse my crappy camera...

One plug, the picture makes it look worse than it was. There was little carbon, with a nice white/light brown color.

Default i got it from world pac

but you can get it from an audi or porsche dealer. It costs a lot through them though. ecstuning.com has it for around $15, which is pretty cheap, but you have to pay shipping. It is a pretty easy procedure, the hard part is not spilling the old fluid all over the place.
