never got my oil drain plug off...
was on there so tight idk how anyone could ever get it off, i used everything i had, monkey wrench, vice gripes, long extenders, everythign just turned on it, its stripped past me even wanting to think about it. obviously ill need a new one, i put the belly pan back on and left it alone. i do want to get the oil changed and to the proper level as it is too high right now but i am out of ideas how to get it off and really dont want to take it somewhere... but maybe i will have to. i heated the car up on a small drive, that didnt help.

you might be able to go somewhere and have them weld on a nut or something
then have them break it loose, then tighten it slightly back up, or take the oil and filter and have them change the oil. Do not take it to a jiffy lube or valvoline,as they will be no help.

Re: never got my oil drain plug off...
Well i have to do this all the time. The tech will take an air chisel and bump the plug in the counter-clockwise direction. That force and the shock will get it right off. I would trust only your local audi dealer to do this. That and they will have the new drain plug to replace the rounded one. We see it alot with the older cars.

Same thing happened to me...
When I got my oil changed at a local drive through place. They couldnt' get the bolt off and ended up stripping it.
I then found a German car specialist and he was able to grind the bolt down to 16MM and changed my oil. It ended up costing me $35 though.

I use a pump and a hose in the dipstick hole...
after having to use a hammer and chisel twice to turn the drain plug. This has to be done on a lift, for obvious reasons. With the pump, I never remove the drain plug. It removes more oil, too. Nothing drips out the drain with the plug removed. Be sure to use new washers every time when removing plug, and don't over torque!

Same here. BMP Topsider oil changer
I still open the drain plug and a few ounces drip out though. Retorque the drain plug to 22ft.lbs and you won't have a problem removing it next time.
