Oh, boy - am I dense. [roll eyes]
I took my co-worker on a little bit of a blast in the S6. Nothing really crazy, my tires aren't scrubbed in yet. Just high speeds on the straight, with good roll-on in 2nd and 3rd. I related this story here a while ago.
He liked it, and I said, "hey man, gas is pretty cheap." And smiled.
Fast forward to last Friday. I drive the S-car to work again, and am about to walk out to go grab some sort of lunch. One of the new office girls asks about the car. Of course, being the total car geek I am, I talk to her about Audis, and cars in general, and this car in particular, and she smiles and nods throughout my long spiel. She then asks if she can get a ride. Like the one my other co-worker got.
Sure, why not. I like to get a little bit of juice flowing at lunch, so what the hell....
We get back to work, she thanks me for the ride, and she likes the car. A lot. With big smiles. Hey, another Audi convert, I think.
I relate the story to my wife today. She laughs at me.
"She was totally flirting with you, you dimwit," she says.
Oh. My. God. What a moron I am. Now I see it all. And I'm a complete and total Audi car geek at the same time. Nice. :S
I guess it's good that I'm an idiot and my wife isn't jealous. Hmmm, maybe that's *why* she's not jealous. Dammit.
