or will it still go into spec without the mount slots trimmed?

You can remove the strut mount without removing anything else.

Just remove the strut insert nut and the three nuts holding the mount. That's one of the beauties of the S4 suspension. You can also remove the strut insert without taking the strut out of the car. Just remove the strut mount and undo the strut insert collar through the top. Anyways, if they didn't slot the strut mounts then they didn't do anything more in the front for camber than I did. The strut mounts are pushed all the way like I put them for you. I can tell you that your tires will wear unevenly if you don't slot the mounts and get the car aligned to factory spec. I have driven 2k with stock mounts pushed all the way like yours are and my tires have worn unevenly. I don't care because they were down to the wear bars anyway and I am waiting until I get new tires to get an alignment. Since your tires are new, I would not accept those alignment settings. Take the mounts out and slot them yourself if you have to then take it back and get the car aligned to factory spec.
FOUND THIS INFO..VERY GOOD INFO...ANYONE HAVE A PIC IF HOW MUCH TO SLOT IF I DICIDE THAT I NEED TO..THANKS AGAIN GUYS

Here's what I did. This got me aligned without doing the Igor mod. I have Eibach springs.

mounts are not slotted, and got a perfect alignment still, DEAD NUTS ON as GERMANTOY put it. Here's my proof...
(Yes you should slot your mounts for more adjustment, but may not be needed.)

How do i go about doing the "igor" method? someone really should do a writeup on this with pics, my a6's alignment is also off and it is killing my tires after swapping in some vogtland springs.

upper strut mount plate?? Look like the base hole there is drilled out some more to allow for some more room.
Is that what I'm seeing?
