Other than that everything is considerably more expensive that I can think of. I need some sort of awd for the winters here, and I dont want a suv or 4x4, been there done that. If I had some more cash I would pick up a B6 S4 but Im happy with the Ur and will spend 25K difference on other things. I rather have a 03 Z06 and my Ur than just a B6 S4.

I still would like one someday, best looking 911 imho. The interior is somewhat dated on them, that where the current997 really shines.

they're ~$10-15k more than a regular C2, and are slower due to the added weight. The engine, suspension, and brakes are identical to a regular C2.
But, a normal 993 C2 makes an awesome car. My dad has one as his summer driver/track toy, and it's an incredible car. They are coming down in price too - you can pick up a very nice one for $35k. The early 996s are also coming way down in price, but they're saddled with early-model issues and the lackluster 3.4.

search for hatch motorcars on google. i think this is the guy nick is talking about. he runs an incredible mercedes shop near where nick lives, and near where i grew up.
he also has an F355 challenge car, and a rotating collection of other exotics.
and that SLR is one of the most stunning cars I have ever seen. nice post!
