We gotta get some of you ur S-car guys to make it down for this next year... at least you east coasters. It's really a great event!

If you didn't watch the live coverage of it on Speed, I'm sure they will be replaying it. Audi won overall... But, it was a really close race. After 1,000 miles and 10+ hours, the Porsche finnished 9/10 of a second behind the Audi. That's pretty darn close!

I believe Audi came in 1st and 6th.

The fastest way to kill a race series is to let one car run away with the title year after year and no competition IMSA saw that happen with Toyota in the GT Prototype series in the late 80's, and they don't want to see it happen again.

Considering there's only AUDI and the two Creation/Judds in LMP1 class, something had to be done. They changed the rules to make it more competetive on an overall basis. It's a neccessary evil, IMHO.

Anyways, it made for a very exciting race.

If you watched, the Porsche was ahead, and the Audi was able to make a pass towards the end of the race. They were able to hold on to the victory, but the finnish of the race was that Audi crossed the finnish line only 9/10 of a second ahead of the Porsche.

Great race, and the GT2 race came oh so close. The 2nd and 3rd place guys (both Porsches) were going at it hard. Was really fun to watch. The 2nd place Porsche spun and ended up swaping places for 3rd. The GT2 championship is still up for grabs and will come down to the last race of the season, at Laguna Seca.

From a spectator and fan perspective... Competition is good!

We all had to pay a decent bit more, but the experience was well worth it.

$190 per person, but that was an all-inclusive charge. I didn't spend anything else the whole weekend.
