He was in front of me and we both punched it in 3rd gear, managed to get up to 4th gear when we ran into traffic. He didn't pull away and I think that surprised him.
How much HP do these have?
As you can see from my signature, I'm running a hybrid RS2-spec (temporarily) which I figure is good for 300 HP.

In other words, you're probably making about 275-280hp at the crank. Just adding a turbo doesn't give you more power in and of itself. It simply changes the dynamics of boost, and the potential for more psi/airflow. Now if someone actually TUNED the Motronic to make use of that turbo and EM, it would be a different story. The RS2 manifold makes more of a difference on its own with the stock setup. You were probably pretty equally matched with the Chevy, powerwise, and he had you beat slightly in the weight department. All in all, you did well. Fun story. Always good to get the look of surprise. :-O
