i need some new tires. I have a dedicated set of snows for it so i'm not worried about snow performance.
as most of you all know, this is my cruiser. it's on stock rancho '93 springs and will stay that way for rock crawling (err um, ski trips and towing) so i'm not looking for a "sticky" tire. i'm looking for a comfy, sporty tire that exceeds in the wet and isn't sloppy in the dry. i know, tall order for <$100.
it has contisport extreme contacts on it, meh.
tire rack suggested the BFG g force sports, or the general exclaim UHP's. the g force sports handling better in the dry, UHP's in the wet
i need to probably get over being a brand wh*re and just buy the UHP's
i firmly believe that certain tires work better on certain cars. our heavy AWD cars are very different from a toyota corrolla or even a BMW 5 series. so poll away.
danke

just my 2 cents though, I never had them. Check out the wheel and tire forum and ask gary from tirerack,,,,, which you most likely already have.
oh the general tires were on a passat and 18 inch asr 1 wheels.

The Kumho SPT outperforms it for the same price. Very good in the wet too.<ul><li><a href="http://www.tirerack.com/a.jsp?a=AR4&url=%2Ftires%2Ftests%2FchartDispla y.jsp%3Fttid%3D4">Tirerack test</a></li></ul>

Kind of a toss up between these three.<ul><li><a href="http://www.tirerack.com/a.jsp?a=AR4&url=%2Ftires%2Ftests%2FtestDisplay.jsp %3Fttid%3D97">Tirerack test</a></li></ul>
