Default Is it possible to damage the MAF if using a K&N filter

I'm looking into all possibilities for the decrease in performance. Any thoughts?

Default vibrations can damage a maf. If you are using a cone filter, and it isn't braced....

I've heard of people blowing mafs because of the vibration

Default An over-oiled (used) K&N filter HAS be known to kill a MAF. But...

not permanently. The MAF can be cleaned (gently) to remove the oil film from the K&N.

OEM paper is better.

Default I'll leave that up to my shop, if they screw it up, they replace it ; ), btw Dave,

Will I be safe using a dahlback intake. What type of filter does that system use?

Default Yeah? Well mine has 20k of crap in it! They filter better the more they are used, you know!

Now THIS is a sales pitch!

The next item, is a wonderful bridge...

(The K&N really still is available...) (Complete with the crap!)
(You know you want it!)

Default Sorry, I am NOT a fan of a "Dahlback" style intake. Nobody has convinced me that the...

Dahlback-style intakes are NOT getting warm/hot air from the engine bay. A better mod is to duct cool air from the oil cooler duct into the stock air box (IMHO).

Good point - Gunk will fill up all the huge K&N air pores that normally let the dirt go right in
