Default Is possible that my car is burning oil? I was taking off the michel.. man hose and see a lots oil ..

in it so I cleaned it and now after 2 months there is even more oil.I had to add almost a quart of oil in 800 miles, I don't see no smoke going out of my tail pipe. So what could it be?
My car has well over 200k miles on stock turbo.
Sometimes I can hear it whisle little louder than other times hmmm.Could the turbo burn the oil?
I tough if turbo was burning oil it would leak on the hot side of the turbo so there should be a lots smoke comming out of tail pipe.

Maybe it is, and maybe it's the turbo seals.

Default 800 mi/qt (or L) is excessive. You should do a compression test (both dry and wet) to ...

eliminate the rings and blow by as an issue. Otherwise, it could be the turbo bearing seals as others below have suggested).

Default Exactly, that is why I didn't mention turbo seals, because of the excessive amount.

But turbo seals is a still a viable option.

Default 800 miles /QT on a 200 K engine excessive????

No disrespect - but it sounds pretty freaking good to me! An engine WILL have more blow by over time. (Just like me! Ask my wife!) And run just fine. For lots of more miles. Maybe in another 100K it will burn a qt in 500 miles. Who cares?

If it is running well... If nothing is fowling out... If no one thinks Metro Mosquito Control is in the neighborhood...

Oil is pretty stinking cheap - compared to a rebuild.

Default Ok , Today I bought a compression testing gauge and here are the results:

From front of the engine:

#1 - 150 Psi
#2 - 150 Psi
#3 - 140 Psi !! 214K miles on a car !!
#4 - 135 Psi
#5 - 135 Psi

I've checked alldata and these # are all within spec.
I don't think the piston rings are causing the oil to disappear.

Now go out and buy a leak down tester, it will tell you more information.
