Default Is it possible to replace a stock MAF with a RS2?

My quesition is will the car run properly with just the RS2 MAF and no programming? The stock MAF is not working right and I'm wondering if I can substitute a RS2 in it's place.

Default rumour has it that they are the same except the screen design is different.

It should work.

Default Yep, I have one right now.

It's for sale on audifans. A prospective buyer wanter to make sure he could swap the RS2 in for his broken stock MAF. I'd keep my MAF but I need the money for another project.

Default AFAIK, this is only a rumor.

A few folks have posted that they have swapped one for the other with no consequences, but I have not seen anything quantitative comparing the two.

Will it work? Yes.
Are they the same? Probably not, but no data available.

I have to agree with that. I saw no difference in my car but....there could be a slight difference. I doubt that they are exactly the same but they are pretty close. I have about 6 MAFs in my garage. I'll try to check the voltage output at a few different rpms and see what gives.

Thanks, I've heard that the RS2 flows a little more.

My guess: same size flows the same but calibrated differently.
