A little high, I think. $8500 would be more reasonable, and up to $9k if condition is superb...

Default this particular car was going for $14K last year. he hasn't sold it since then
he's kind of hard to negotiate with.

Default The value worth is in the eye of the buyer... Reasonable as far as I'm concerned
As a 93 S4 (78,000 miles) owner, I can not publish what I would sell my car for, since it's not for sell. But I can assure you it wouldn't list for anything as little as $10K. I can only say that the above asking price is not unreasonable given the stated condition and the fact the car appears to have had no mods and the maintenance appears up to date.
