Default Question on Dave's boost leak test... (making sure i have a grasp on it)

So I just want to make sure i understand which end of the hoses to cap off of the 4 mentioned in the post by Dave.

1-Capping the turbo outlet hose. This would be taken off the turbo and capped so the air doesn't go into the turbo, right?

2-capping turbo to by-pass valve hose. This would be taken off the BPV and capped there? (this is where i think i made an error because the turbo wont have air in it if #1 is correct?)

3-Crankcase/camcover hose. Capping the end of the hose that goes into the back of the spark plug cover, yes?

4-capping ISV hose. Which hose would this be, the bottom hose, or the hose opposite of the ISV connector?

And do you guys cap the hoses same way you put the 3 inch PVC cap to pressurize the system, just without the nipple in? I know where to pressurize it from, im gonna make the pressurizing cap tomorrow i just want to make sure i cap everything correctly and dont hurt seals ect. thanks.

https://forums.audiworld.com/s4s6/msgs/217734.phtml</a

I think you are okay except No.3. Remove the hose attached to the cam cover, near the front, and cap

Default OK thanks Dave. Why would you need to cap the bpv hose if the outtake hose is off though?

and the ISV hose that needs capping is coming from the intercooler?

Default Look at the diagram. You need to block off any connected to the hoses between the turbo and the
