Random miss at idle. Not repeated but random. Only @ idle. Any ideas?

Maybe I'm expecting too much, but I'd assume the engine management would be able to hold a smooth idle... I understand it's not a Lexus but still.
Random enough that you feel it in the cabin and can hear the "PUTT" out the exhaust.
Please read that it's not steady or repeated but a random but consistent miss.
