I just read something in passing that sounds interesting for those of us with BBKs - somebody is using an S4 (B5, I am assuming) rear caliper, A8 carrier and A8 rotor assembly in the rear of their S-car. I know that Hap has a Porsche rear set-up, which is pretty cool, but this sounds a little more bolt-on.
One of the things that's attractive is that it's all straight bolt on, and even better, all-Audi (which means that the cable e-brake capability is retained.)
Does anyone here have the slightest clue about this?

i'm not sure, but i thought that A8s had solid rear rotors, only S8s had vented. We actually have pretty large rear rotors and they are vented stock. Plus not much of braking is done throught the rears, i don't think anyone has over heated their rear brakes. Just do what i did and max out the proportioning valve to get more rear bias.

In addition, the braking *balance* would improve.
The costs would be pretty small, seemingly.
