Default results from the dyno run today, kinda well chuffed, havnt got the facility to get the print out on

to the scanner here at my mates house. But for a standard car im pretty happy with the result.

at approx 5200RPM

she is putting out 237llbft of torque

and 280bhp at the flywheel at 18psi

fuel is running a little lean at the top end but within its limits.

so all in all she's pretty healthy.
Hopefully getting hold of an RS2 manifold this week. And still have to make a choice of which turbo back exhaust to go for.Hope to achieve a healthy 350 by the end of this year.
Damien.

Stock motor right, just the boost machine? That's pretty impressive.

Default Thanks Chris, yeah was really what i was hoping for, boost comes in real early also,so really my ..

fine tuning with boost onset and slightly more boost has really transformed the car.I am at my max as far as fueling is concerned, next step is rs2 injectors, along with the rest....Really at the moment im safely at about peak for the standard engine. But hey great to know she is in rude health.

Well... sorry but that really means nothing without a baseline.

Default Unless you dyno'ed the car before you made the changes it really doesn't mean much as dyno numbers

vary across *all* dynos.

Default I didn't mean it in a harsh way. I am just stating that none of us nor you have any idea how much

power/tq you have gained over a stock car with you boost machine. You could have even lost power/tq. There is no way to tell without a baseline. The good news is that you now have a baseline for any upcoming mods.

Default Sorry Damien but I have to call "Bollocks!".No way you have 280 whp with a K24 and stock injectors

Unpossible. The dyno is very flattering. It must want to take you to bed because it is just plain lying.

The boost machine modifies how the boost comes on. It's not a boost amplifier per se. You still have a K24 (and stock injectors). Max you can get is around 300 crank hp and even then, that is a BIG stretch.

Default What type of dyno? 280 HP at the wheels is very high for a stock turbo.

Even a well sorted 3.0 bar stage 1 chipset (i.e. MTM 1) running 22 psi is 270 HP at the crankshaft. After drivetrain losses, I'd expect a stage 1 chipped car to be somewhere around 220 +/- range.

Your torque readings seems about right.

Quick Reply: results from the dyno run today, kinda well chuffed, havnt got the facility to get the print out on
