What does common sense tell you? (hint: Supply vs. Demand)

Default The euro is too high. It will require a fairing, or you dollars per gallons will drop.

Thule is the only answer.

Default Used is almost always cheaper no matter where. Parts that are imported to the US...

cost more than they do in Europe. This is because of a terrible exchange rate, high shipping costs, duty cost and a markup to support a business such as mine. Trust in this, it takes a lot of European parts sold in a year to make a living. I've heard musings of some companies getting entirely out of European parts because of the lack of profit from them after all is said and done. We may be one of the last companies that still imports in larger volume from Europe, especially for older model Audis. The last palette that arrived here cost over $1k just to get here, not including duty cost!

Obviously parts can be had for less, but you have to work to get them and take the chance with the possiblity of losing money to an unknown seller thousands of miles away with no way for retribution. We deal with reputable suppliers which cost more than some suppliers we have used, but we can count on them to supply in due time and good solid parts. The whole process takes quite a bit of time, money and effort. Some are willing to take the time to do this solo to save, some are willing to support our efforts and simply purchase, wait if needed and have the parts arrive on their doorstep, no fuss, no muss.

Cheers,
