Default RS2 Turbo Exploded View - Internal Part Numbers

I have been looking for RS2 turbo internals specifications for a couple of weeks and am not coming up with much...I've posted in the 5k forum, and on Quattro List, but no dice. I've got the main numbers from SJM and urs4.com

Mostly want compressor/impeller/exducer part numbers and/or specifications to try and hybridize a K26 to get as close as possible to the RS2 turbo. This will end up in my 87 Avant.

Anyone? Anyone?

Default Cool! That is pretty much what I was trying to do!

Course it'll go on a 10v, not a 20v...

Default Yes yes...

...but I'd like to have my turbo shop build it for me. Good guys, like to give them business, PLUS I can barter with them. Mmmmm, barter...

Default Take a K26 #6 hotside, a K24 compressor housing with the extra meat around the intake...

Machine the K24 compressor housing to receive a 27 compressor wheel (2.7" not K27 turbo). Voila you have a RS2+ turbo. Clip the turbine wheel and open up the #6 exhaust housing and it will be better yet. Also add a cone to the compressor wheel instead of the std. nut.

The RS2 is standard parts mixed together with extra machining here and there.

Default well,

I took my stock RS2 comp to majestic turbo to have a chipped compressor wheel replaced. They managed to show me off their part shelves every part in the RS2 arsenal. On top of that, they were able to clearly indicate areas that can be machined to increase flow.

The K24 compressor housing on the RS2 comp was already machined out to take a 26 wheel with a larger inlet. The physical limit of the K24 housing is a 2.7" wheel which is what innovative is doing. The K26 turbine wheel is typical as well except the turbine housing is opened up for more flow. These are the only differences I saw in a shop full of turbo parts.

After all that, I'm going with the Garret T04E/K26#6 hybrid.

Default Michael at Majestic can do the cone for the intake

Its a nifty mod to a KKK turbo involving bolting down an aluminum blank with metric threads on the compressor wheel and then turning it on a lathe while machining the cone shape. They have a special tool similar to the garret cones to remove it.
