Default S4/6 OE Sport Spring GB - Possible, 5 interested folks, just need 5 more...

Have been receiving a large number of inquiries for the S4/6 OE Sport Springs recently, not sure what the resurgence of the interest is in these. However we would happily do some group pricing on these units if we can get 10+ interest folks together.

As many of you are aware these are OE European Audi S4 and S6 springs that are firmer than the stock springs (as firm as the standard '92 S4 springs), linear and approximately lower 20mm from stock US height. These can be used with several sport dampers on the market, good success has been reported with Koni Sport, Bilstein and Boge Turbogas.

Thank you,

Default Question...

Is that 20mm lower than the '92 springs? Or 20mm lower than the post-'92 springs?

Well, that's two questions, I guess. How about one more: how much?

Default I may be interested, depending on price...

And, are the OE "Sport" Boge dampers that are matched to this set still available?

I'll see if I can answer Silver's question:
I think these may be a little stiffer than the '92 springs, based on my personal experiences, but are comprable to '92 with regards to drop. It's about a 3/4" drop over your stock '95 springs (same as it would be if you put in '92 springs).

Default Thanks for the info.

I wish I'd have measured before/after. I swear that the thing dropped more than an inch.

Default 20mm lower than the '93-'97 springs...

nearly identical to '92 springs, ever so slightly stiffer.

Waiting on pricing on group quantity currently, though pricing has recently shot up on these, retail is getting higher unfortunately.

Current retail is $652.33, pricing for the GB would like be $595 or so.

Cheers,

How does that drop compare with Eibach and H&R?

Default IIRC, the sport H&Rs do a 1.25 - 1.5" drop.

25.4mm = 1"

So, 20mm = ~0.8"

H&R Race do about 2", yes?

(This is all from memory - and I could be totally wrong.)
