i'm about to drop $30k on a "new" car...and i need to sell mine.
i'm getting relatively few bites, so maybe i'm asking too much. the car has 212k miles on it, mechanically is in tip-top shape, but cosmetically it's probably a B.
the paint is scratched and cracked, especially on the front bumper. the body is fairly straight though. the seats aren't in the best of shape.
mod list is in the sig. the only thing i've added aside from the list is a new Alpine stereo with iPod and Sirius.

Unless you've fully solved them. In which case, I'd give you $9k. Mostly because the miles are pretty high. Since it's an Avant, $11k would be the high end of my range, but everything would have to work perfectly. Lots of miles aren't necessarily bad, but it limits your market to enthusiasts. And those folks have been reading about what's going on with this particular car.
JMHO. FWIW. YMMV. TPIWWP. LOL.

...consider cosmetic issues secondary to mechanical ones. IIRC, that is.
I don't like dents and faded paint, but if the car runs like a beast, I don't care if the paint and leather are 9.5/10. My grin hides the flaws.
But yeah, even RS2ed Avants aren't worth much if they have high miles, have cosmetic issues, and have mechanical issues. Remove the mechaical issues, and you've got a much better chance.
For a point of reference - when I was looking for my car, the modded ones got dropped. I wanted a stock car. If I ever decide to sell, I may turn it back to stock, just to be able to sell it to a wider audience.

...if you returned the car to it's stock form (at least in the engine bay), you'd probably get more for the car and parts than you would for the car with the parts already attached.
It's perverse, I know.
