minor mechanical issues i can usually fix on my own for relatively little money, and use as a big bargaining chip in the sale price of the car. but if it needs bodywork, I can't do anything but bring it to the bodyshop and write a big check.

I wanted something with a bit lower miles (and a different color). I know that these things run forever, but 200K is a mental barrier for me.
That said, I think $10-11K is a fair price.
It's just going to take some time to find the right buyer.
But as someone else mentioned, you will probably make more if you take the mods off the car and sell them separately.

rebuilt head, new head internals, belts, pumps, hoses, etc. all replaced. i spent like $3k on that little project...just on parts + head rebuild.
but yeah...I tend to agree with you on the price.

Good paint jobs are about 5k and usually cannot be done at home unless you are chefbob. Mechanical problems can be fixed with some knowledge, tools, parts and a six pack on a Saturday.

The engine, drivetrain, etc can all be brand spanking new, but a chassis with 212k on it, especially on a tracked car, isn't going to feel as nice as one with 100k.
