Default Snub mount

At first sight it looks like jelly but it is "hard as a rock", to put it on it's place I had to use the press and some vaseline. The gap is reduced comparing to the original one but there is still about 10mm of play to each side(up/down). I supose that gap is necessary to reduce engine vibrations when the engine is not beeing pushed hard.

Why so hard to get in place? I took the bracket out, bang bang, in?

Default Anyone know how much play the APR or other aftermarket snub mounts have?

10mm is pretty good.

Default I didn't measure it, but the APR snub mount looks a lot like Adriano's once installed.

I didn't need a press, though. It went in easily.

how do you remove the bushing? do you remove the two bolts holding on the mount?

Default It's very easy...

First, you remove the two obvious bolts. Then you realize that there isn't enough room to get the thing out, so you look around and see the two (or three?) bolts holding the engine side of the mount to the engine block. You take those out, and realize you probably didn't need to take the two obvious bolts out at all.

But all in all it's really easy. It takes longer to get the car up and the belly pan off than it does to swap the snub mount.

3 bolts hold the snub mount to the block. Remove 'em

The "problem" is to assemble the new snub on it's place...

Default Yes, I also removed the bracket first, but after banging it with...

...the rubber hammer(very hard) for several times, I quited. I was only lucky on the press and with the help of some esterylized vaseline, that I keep for another kind of jobs

But Adriano, that stuff disolves latex. You need a water based product.
