Default So I put the MTM wastegate spring in last night...

...and the car makes boost frighteningly fast. Could the spring be too stiff? I haven't had any WOT runs with it yet, 1/2 throttle makes it jump to 25psi even at 3.5kish RPM, which seems to be too quick.

Any thoughts? Could this spring have been meant for ta K24?

Are you complaining about fast spool? It's not overboosting right?

I haven't let it get to the point that it's over boosting, but I almost think it might.

Default Nice to hear that added some more hp's to your engine only spending a few bucks!

Start testing with the WG screw completelly unscrewed untill you find the max sustainned boost for you RS2 setup(1.8/1.9bar = 26.5/28psi). In my case, no turns are required on the original screw.
I spent two months trying to figger out what was going wrong...

Default If your ECU is controlling boost, it should still control to the correct boost

The stiffer spring just raises the minimum amount of boost your car can control to. However, if you have a manual boost controller, you'll need to dial it back, or you will get however much more boost the difference in bar the two springs were rated at.

No MBC, so I should be good? ECU still controls the boost.

Default Emre, out of curiosity, what are you running for software?

I think I remember you saying you are full RS2 with like MAF, fuel pressure regulator and injectors, correct?
