Someone please confirm, is there a pressure switch in the rear bench that turns heating off/on?

Can't you just look @ the base? IIRC it was something noticeable on my 5ktqa's seat base

Default yea.. i'm pretty sure I remember Gabe mentioning it. Wiring schematics have a mechanical switch

between the actual 1-6 wheelie selector switch and the heater element. I can only assume it's the pressure cut-off thingy. I went on a seat heater continuity testing rampage today, and I couldn't get the two elements in the rear bench to indicate continuity. So I begun to get concerned that maybe they were burnt out. But if this switch does exist then it would explain why I didn't register any connection with my multimeter; cause the switch breaks the circuit until someone sits their fat *** in the seat.

Default The rear seats with heaters have a mechanical switch that is only engaged when there is a certain

weight on the seat bottom.

Definitely noticeable if you have a non-heated base and a heated base, side by side.

Default Definitely. I had to adjust mine so my under 100lb kids would trigger it

They were very upset when they couldn't toast their buns on cold days.
