Default Are there any special procedures to do a compression test on the 20vt??

Have 226k S4 1993 and just one day it won't start, has fule spark and turns over... Do a compression test for the hell of it after pulling plugs, which were all back, and get 100 for the first/most forward cyclender and 50 for the other 4. This was done by just instaling the tester and turning over the car. Need WOT or anything special for the 20vt?? So basicaly if this is the correct way to do it im doing an engine swap tuesday. Also when you try to start it just turns and turns and seems that maybe at most one or two cyclenders are fireing.

TIA!

Default Yeah, hold the throttle wide open when you turn it over. Still, the numbers should be higher than

that!

Yep, you don't want fuel washing down the cylinders and getting into the oil.

Just pull fuse No. 17 to kill the fuel pump while cranking.
