Not the Kumhos. They blow. I don't know the others.

Kumho makes good tires, but the 712's that you have pictures are the worst tire I've ever had.

Default hahaha

I ran a set of those Ecsta 712s on my S6. They didn't blow out like the whole Firestone deal. They were just non-grippy tires and were downright scary in the rain. The only good thing I can say about them is that they last freakin forever. Of course, that's a bad thing when you want them to wear out so you can replace them with something that has a modicum of grip.

That's funny cause my 712's actually gripped quite well, but they wore out extremely fast. (aligned)

Default I was not plesed with the Sumitomo during season2...

...the first summer I ran them, they were very good in the rain, and really good in the dry. 2 things though; They are LOUD, and tend to flat spot overnight. Once they get back up to temp the next day (2 miles or so) they stop going <wub wub wub> and smooth out, but remain LOUD. I would dare say they are just as loud as my Hakkapeliitta's in the winter. Now, after season 2, they are ALL DONE, I mean, like, corded... and I've yet to do a track day. Cheap right now doesn't always equal value in the long run.

Since I too, am on a meager budget, I'm planning on Potenza RE750's, as I've run them on my car before, and thought they were really good tires, but again a bit loud, ( a trade off I can live with to a point ).

A friend with a 540i runs Bridgestone Pole Position S03s, and raves about them. If I can swing it, I may go that route.

Sorry I don't have the answer, just an opinion, and more food for thought.
