other POS (and vice versa). IIRC, that doesn't have to involve removing the POS from the bracket.

bottom of passanger side POS.
But i did swap them from one side to another and nothing changed, so im looking at a coil, spark plug (doubtful)
So no i test coil #1 with a spark tester is that the next step? given my hesitation, now this, im sure this is been the problem the whole time and i doubt a sparkplug would slowly die,.. but i feel really good to have isolated this problem... thanks so much Dave and everyone else

could be a cracked plug(i had one), could be a dead injector, could be a dead coil, could be compression in cyl #1
start easy...swap spark plug #1 with any other and see if the dead cyl changes. if not you rule out the spark plug.
swap injector #1 to any other and again see if your miss changes to another cyl (pay attention to the o-rings, take your time)
swap the #1 coil or find a way to test it.
All these after you ruled out the POS of course.
hope this helps
good luck

still be a bad one, ive had an issue before and after the cleaning (hesitation)
as for swapping spark plugs, the set back is i dont want to back out the plugs and have to buy 2 new ones after the seal is ruined. can i go buy cheapo plugs at the store (5 of them) and connect all 5 to the coil connectors and watch for a spark?
Wouldn't this method be the best to start with, as i dont have to pull the injectors (ew) i dont have to get a leak down test, i am just seeing if there is a spark, and if not, there is the problem.

take put plug#1 and plug #2.
install plug #1 in cyl #2 and ,plug #2 in cyl #1
or if you feel more confortable, buy 5 F6DTC copper heads Bosch plugs and see if that makes your miss go.
I strongly suggest you take your current plugs out (especially #1)and inspect it for any damage
i had a cracked one that you could barely see but enough to give me a hard time.
ended up buying only one plug and not the wholes set<ul><li><a href="http://www.autohausaz.com/search/product.aspx?sid=q034e2bhnbzzkizujwkblc55&make id=800002@Audi&modelid=1009055@COUPE%20QUATTRO %20&year=1990&cid=25@Ignition%20Parts& gid=7212@Spark%20Plug">http://www.autohausaz.com/s

one time use (this is per Dave F.)
believe me i want to pull the plug bad. Id love it to be a plug, but the plugs have a few thousand on them (i know 1 plug isnt that big of a deal to buy) but i probably have some old plugs somewhere, and if i plug 5 old plugs in the coil connectors, and crank the engine and #1 has no spark, i know it would not be a plug issue and is my coil right?
