Default upgrade or upgrade?

Speaking with a relative, and he offers me a VERY good deal on his '02 S8. Big benefit, warranty to 100K miles. Super condition etc... If I'm going to buy one, this would certainly be one of the few I would want.

Problem.

I love the S6 for everything it offers, too many to list, we all know why we own our cars. I don't have room or both cars, so either I decide the money goes into a full RS2 setup and I keep it, or I say goodbye.
The S6 has been eating some money of late keeping her running, so the costs have been increasing of late. I'm certainly paying the price for not being mechanically inclined. The wife is complaining about it a bit, keeps asking why I love that car so much, she just doesn't understand.

The S8 however is a beautiful car, a little bigger, but heavier.

I realize who I'm asking on this, but I'm curious as to the opinions out there.

Default Re: upgrade or upgrade?

S8 is a gorgeous car, however I like the urs4/s6 better because they are a little smaller and big easier to manouver. It's a win win situation either way.

Default I say get the S8

it's not as "sporty", true dat.

you didn't get the urS-car because it was "sporty", did you?

If you decide to keep the S6, let me know how much you'd sell me the S8 for!!

Heh. Definitely the first time a urS has been referred to as smaller and easier to manouver.

I'd keep the urS. The auto trans would drive me to drink.

Everything is relative. A Hummer is easier to manouver than an M50 Bradley.

Default I hear ya there. I don't like things I can't fix myself, that go out...

with no warning and require me to go into my savings or equity line to pay for. I bet those trannys are 4 or 5k. But I still would love to have one, too bad they don't come with a 6 speed here in the states. But I would still love to have one, auto or stick.

Default I'd hit it.

Depending on the cost, of course. I dislike auto trannies, but the S8 is seven years newer, and is just so fine. That and a cheap sports car or motorcycle would keep me happy.

Actually, my requirements are a little different, since I really make good use of the Avant. There aren't a lot of other fast 5-speed all-wheel drive wagons available at a reasonable price (under 15k). Not sure any of the newer Audis would fit the bill.
