...a friend of mine is looking at a 95 S6 to buy and seeing as im old-old school, i dont know much about these. The car has a TAP stage II chip and waste gate spring. Im wondering what (rough estimate) the the hp and torque rateing would be. Also, if anyone has any tips as to what to look for on the car and what to ask the owner about the car, it would be appreciated. Thanks!

Tap sucks... my car had a Tap stage II in it for about... 6 seconds.

Keep the spring though, that's handy.

It's not what TAP claims. They are VERY optimistic. Sure it has more "umph" than stock, but in my mind there are better routes for chip upgrade. That's why I bought the RS2 EM, Turbo, and delphi injectors (which I sold by the way). With the mind that I'd have Mihnea do the chip tuning. IF he's looking at my UrS6 that's for sale, it really is a good car. And it is fast, even if it has a TAP II upgrade. Oh yeah, and I do have red Samco's on the way. Paid for 'em on a GB for a good price. $230. Couldn't pass that up.
