i have had the car for a little while now and just noticed the noise. It only happens at idle and not anywhere else. i parked close to wall, and in the car i could hear the noise. It sounds similar to a none ajusted lifter, but am not sure what it is.

There are no other issues that go along with it.

i did a search, and couldn't find anything. So could ya'll give your suggestions of what it might be.

Had it on my old GTI, other than being noisy was fine for 50,000 miles. Eventually had them replaced when I had a cam put in.

Check your oil level. Mine ticks at idle when the level is low.

May be less noticable off idle. Just something to check.

Spark plugs that aer loose will do this as well! Check ASAP. Oil level?

Can very easily be injector noise. Pop the hood, and check it out.
