This weekend, I did my t-belt, water pump (Hepu), etc. mainly because the water pump was leaking.
Everything seemed fine with no leaks when the car is running and is hot, but after shutdown, about 3 hours later, I see about 1/2 cup of coolant on the ground.
When I installed the new water pump, I used RTV silicone along with a new seal. I'm thinking that perhaps the seal slipped out of the groove and got pinched. But I would think that coolant would be pissing out if this was true.
The last time I did the water pump (2003), I did not use silicone and it started to leak 4 years later.
