Spent all day, first replacing my steering rack..

Then changed front sway bar to the Avant bar and finally got the rear sway bar in after it sat on my tool box for 7 months just taunting me ;-) Here are the mounting plates installed..

I later unthreaded the heim joints more for clearance with the springs.

The rear bar only took about 1.5 hours. The front bar and the rack I did at the same time which kicked my a$$ most of the day. Driving home, I really enjoyed it. It made a world of difference, stays very flat through turns. Definitely worth the money. Monday I'll do an alignment and maybe set the bar on the stiffest setting, then change oil,filters,plugs. Almost time for the paint job!

was your steering rack leaking? or just torn boot? I did that job on my S4 and it was a PITA.. Could there be a possibility that a leak on the rack would come from either ends? Or usually just in the middle under the boot?

Boot torn and leaking. Usually always in the middle where the seals get worn out.
