What can cause overboost?
at 5100 rpm, any gear... get fuel cut off like when you hit speed limiter(not that anybody has done that).
Can a bad fuel pump cause this?

Have you checked your waste gate diaphram?
Does it always cut at the same boost levels?
My old 5K had a non-existant diaphram; felt like hitting a brick wall...

I've always wondered, do these cars boost creep with a larger exhaust?

Huh? If you are talking K24 maybe. But with an RS2 turbo the 1.9bar spring is fine to redline IME.
