Default what could cause car to suddenly take many cranks to start?

up untill tonight car would crank crank start, but all a sudden 26 tonight I thought it was not gonna start just kept cranking may 10 times and I stopped, turned key again after 2 seconds and 2 crank start, again later tonight it took about 6-7 cranks to start.

would could be the reason? ignition, fuel pump, something I am obviously unaware of?

plugs, fuel filter, boots are all new last summer

Default firstly check the volts when you try to start they shouldnt go below 12

unscrew each filler cap on the battery and check the water level if its low take it to a battery shop if its not try start the car if you see bubbles then thats the bad cell.

If you are not comfortable with this I suggest you take it to a battery shop they can put a tester on it. make sure the tester they use puts load on the battery otherwise it will just tell you that the battery is good when its not working. and lets face it the battery really works when you try to start your car.

Old plugs? Ignition switch? Was the engine hot or cold?

Your fuel pump is about to die on you. That was the only warning you will get.

Uh oh, my voltage is at about 9v while cranking, however I do have my heated seats set to 6. I have started the car at -40C with no problems. Battery is 3 years old and I am running 5w40 Shell Rotella T synthetic motor oil.

Default 2nd - Bad Cam Sensor or G28 Sensor will also do it

Exaggeration may be counter-productive

But they throw codes. Forrest didn't mention codes. (?). Fuel pump = no codes
