Default What have you all done with your factory phone/antenna?
The internal part of the rear window anntenna keeps falling off the glass in the sun. I'm tempted to just cut the thing off. Obviously it will never be used. Still have the phone in the cradle too..

It is all removable. They were added at the port or dealership. Nothing permanent.

The phone is still active for 911 calls, even without a plan (IIRC)

Default All my phone stuff except the antennae is gone. I kind of like the antennae.

Default Hmm, mine didn't come with a rear window repeater.
Not that I can tell, at least.

The P.O. *did* put an ugly POS repeater through the roof, however.

I'd love to put one of the new "shark fin" combo radio/GPS antennas up there, but have been unable to find a part number nor compatibility info for the Traffic Pro on it.

EKTA is not terribly helpful for this.

Default I think the phone will still call 911 without an antenna.
At least that's what I've found out through experience.

Default I unscewed the cable going to the antenna and tucked it back under the backlite trim
I also peeled off the exterior antenna. It's a much cleaner look w/o it. If you remove the phone from the armrest you can use it as storage space too.

Default Anyone throwing theirs away...
Does anyone want to donate theirs to me???

I have one off a 90 on the back window of mine. But, I'm missing the inside glass piece and I think my antenna is slightly different.

I'm broke, but if someone is going to toss theirs out or it's just laying in their garage, I'll be glad to cover shipping!
