Default What kind of battery for our cars?

My battery died the other day and now it will not hold a charge (left the headlights on!). The only way to start the car is to jump it. What replacement battery is good for our car? Looking for a relatively cheap alternative. Thanks.

Default Cheap batteries are a poor value. I have sold Interstates for years...

and for the most part they are a decent battery. I would say Interstate batteries are about the best aftermarket batteries out there and Sears batteries are good too. Do not get a battery from Shucks, Auto Zone etc, they are junk. Expect to pay about $90.00 or so. Factory batteries are the best but $$$$.

Default Interstate

I got one from a CarQuest store for $70 recently (but they may have given me a discount). I'm guessing the size must not be too uncommon, since this was in a very small town and they had it in stock.

The fit was fine, but there wasn't somewhere to attach the vent tube that the factory battery had.<ul><li><a href="http://www.ibsa.com/estore/search.asp?N=2147384749+4294754420&amp;Ntx=mode%20 matchallany&amp;Ntk=SearchGroup&amp;Ntt=audi&amp;N s=product+Type%7c0&amp;Nu=Part+Number&amp;mscssid= FUL2VEE69VC49GUXGJFE44RJ09QMEHL8&amp;js=1">Interst ate Ba

Default Probably OEM, Panasonics in Jap cars can be ten years old and work like new.

I wish we could by those here.

Make sure it is specific for Audi and has the vent drain connection.
