Default What kind of gear oils to use?

I searched, found some stuff saying red line. can anyone be specific of what to use for the tranny and then what to use for the diffs? what weight and if red line is the best choice, thanks so much.

Gear box, front final drive and center diff:
2.6 liter SAE 75W90 G005000
0.1 liter Additive G00900001

Rear diff:
1.5 liter SAE 75W90 G052145S2

I've used Castrol SAF-XO 75W90 (GL5) in front, center and rear diff (autotranny).

Redline MT-90 for tranny, Redline 75w90 for differential

Someone said that MT isnt thick enough or somthing? do you think that is untrue?

Default there was a big post about this a while ago.

in the owner's manual, audi states that GL5 is NOT to be used in the transmission, only GL4. I believe that GL5 has adverse effects on the brass components in the trans. GL5 is fine in the rear diff.

Default Correct, IIRC.

Redline MT is 80w, but the MT-90 is 90w, which is correct.
