maybe just more fuel and less advance. take the fuse out just for a minute and there's no failsafe mode, just the factory defaults. what's so hard tuning motronic? mail me and i can give you some ideas.

You didn't understand nothing regarding how those ECUs work and the way the fuel supply is taken care of, I'm sure of that right now! Way to go man!
Less advance? yeah right, until the turbine melts? In case you didn't know, advance has to be increased in order to avoid the mixture self burning before the spark arrives and in order to keep EGTs low, but I can see indeed that you lack some serious turbo motors tuning experience, even I wouldn't have thought of that a few months ago until I got to tune a few 350+ HP cars! You're hopeless, that K27 will drown the engine in fuel or will burn the heck out of the injectors trying to run them at 200% duty cycle!

Indeed it is not recommended to set a VMAP-D-4 @ 3.8 bar without the proper chips. However if set properly it is not an issue ... the end user would have to open up the ECU and change the settings ... I would be more concerned about a 10 year old Bosch sensor failing ... this would lead to some very spectacular effects. The VMAP-D-3 has a maximum of 300 KPA ... but can be upgraded to a VMAP-D-4 with new firmware.
