Will be needing a better seal to the coil cover...

Well, in preparation for replacement of my valve cover gasket on Wednesday, I degreased my engine. I tried to be diligent of where the water and degreaser sprayed, but water found its way into all 5 spark plug chambers. I wonder if my coil cover gasket is at fault? Replace the gasket, or replace and use a high temp silicon gasket sealer also? I've not started the engine, just letting the spark plug chambers dry out with the coil cover off. It has been since Tuesday afternoon, when I cleaned the engine. I wonder if some compressed air would be enough to get rid of the remaining moisture? BTW, the new gasket came together, not without replacing three factory crimped hose clamps. I'm fairly certain with 146k miles, the valve cover gasket was the original due to the factor crimp clamps on the rear two hoses.

I stuck a coiled paper towel in the chambers and the first and fifth have absorbed a bit of moisture, the others dry. I would still like recommendations on the above if anyone has ideas. Thank you.
