...as in a nice, wide Philippine mahogany plank for a display shelf. Man, a nice triple clearcoat makes it shine. Instead of elmwood, Audi should have used this stuff. It is gorgeous. I could see a Cyclamen/Travertine car with mahogany trim. Talk about droolage.
I can also see why boatbuilders use this stuff.
I only bring it up because the project has kicked my car out of the garage while the polyurethane dries. It would probably be a hell of a project making the UrS trim out of this stuff, but in a platinum or ecru interior, folks would want to touch your wood.
