Default zOMG! WE HAVE OIL PRESSURE!!

It was actually only 11:45pm. The old UrS can't automatically adjust for daylight savings.

These were the key... socket head cap screws torqued up to 48 ft. lbs. as per the Bentley.

I Plastigaged the radial clearance of the new bearing and got 0.051mm. According to the Bentley a new bearing should be between 0.018mm and 0.053mm. The wear limit is 0.160mm. Everything seems fine so far. I didn't put my subframe back in so I haven't taken her for a spin yet. She runs and revs fine so far.

Default Nice ! Did you have any stronger engine vibrations ~5K ?

How many miles ? What repacing the bearings help fix ?

What do you noticed afterwards in terms of improvements, revs quicker, smoothness ... afterwards

I'm asking cause I suspect my main crank bearings need replacing soon :-/

Default Thats the oil pressure I have when the engine is cold

I would let it idle for 1/2-1h for the bearing to setle down.

Cross your fingers. You gonna drive it a bit to verify, or wait until spring?

Default Gonna throw the subframe back on and take her for a drive. Hopefully before I leave for NZ.

If not, then when I come back.

Default I replaced it because 1 bearing cap bolt broke, which put a lot of stress on the remaining bolt.

The remaining bolt broke and the bearing cap fell off causing low oil pressure. Thankfully the crank wasn't scored and I was able to slip in a new bearing and a couple new bolts. I doubt I will notice any different over the old bearing.
