I suppose that we will find out the exact version today, but CARIAD 1.2 (which is considered the fully functioning software package) is still not ready. So CARIAD 1.1X will be shipping with an apparent promised update at sometime this year. The huge question is whether that update will be able to be executed OTA.

There was soooo much in question about the timing between now and V1.2 that Porsche designed their own software on Android for the Macan.

see wtf that makes me very skeptical and to the point where I’d rather pay the premium if Porsche has their crap together vs Audi.

The rumor is that today we are going to learn that the EV Macan and the Audi Q6 e-tron are very different cars unlike the Taycan and the Audi GT e-tron.

Apparently the new CARIAD Android backed software is actually pretty functional V1.1 and Audi is STILL claiming there will be free upgrade to the fully baked V1.2. HOWEVER, with as long as this car is taking to arrive, it may be on V1.5 by the time it gets shipped to the US.

I have effectively heard nothing updating arrival information in the US.

There won't be un upgrade to v.1.2 as the new Q6 will already be shipped v.1.2.
As expected, it will also have over-the-air updates. 🙂
