Q6 range?
The main reason I’m considering holding out for Q6 ETron is the potential for increased range. Motor Trend just dropped an article where they tested the Q6 sister car, Porsche Macan EV, and it only produced a real world range of approximately 290 miles at 70mph. Although the tests were not 100% identical, in a separate review the 2024 Q8 ETron also managed 290 miles until empty. If there truly is that little difference between them, I’m definitely getting another Q8 when my lease is up in a few months.

Well, another Macan EV range test came in, this time by Edmunds…..70mph test netted 325 miles on the base model.

If you compare apples to apples, meaning similar size battery and number of motors, there is no doubt Q6 will have more range than Q8 simply because it is smaller and likely lighter, plus newer battery, new motors, EV-specific platform (so less vestigial ICE related parts/components), and supposedly more efficient drive software (that's actually the reason for the delay launch of the car). Plus it will charge faster due to the 800V architecture.
