I'll start by saying I have had a 2019 Q8 and sold that it was not loaded and did not have the specs I wanted and traded it for an RS5. I have posted before telling forum members about my back injury so I'm looking again and my dealer just got in a loaded Q8 i think it's around $93800 but I also know that I can purchase a 2020 BMW X5 M50i MSRP 95K with 12% off MSRP with another $4250 in BMW incentives so I'm looking for some thoughts on this possible purchase decision.

Any thoughts would be great. I have just driven the BMW and it's a rocket compared to the Q8 but the loaded Q8 has a nicer interior with more features. Both are nice but it's very hard to make the decision. I was told by the Audi dealer which I know the GM who has told me he has two slots for the 2021 RS6 Avant and will give me a slot but it will be at MSRP???

I would assume an RS6 would not be too beneficial to your back injury. Even with air suspension it should not be more comfortable than the Q8. It will be "RS tuned" air suspension ...read...stiff...compared to a Q8 or A8. Anyway, BMW almost always beats Audi on price/value for dollar as you see. Audi almost always beats BMW on quality/style of interior. As much as I love my Audi's I'd say as long as the X5 meets your physical needs it would be the better purchase. I mean what is the X5 price based on your deal $80k? vs. maybe the best they'd give you on the Q8 $89k if you are lucky. IMO I honestly can't say the Q8 is worth $9k more than the X5 M50i for any reason other than it is not a BMW.

Good point. I was looking at the value also and you are right I doubt he will take more than 4-5% off so it's more like a 10K difference. I haven't been down to talk with the GM yet but from what I hear on this forum there isn't much discount on the Q8.

That really is funny because when I traded it back to them they had 15 on their lot now 7 and only 1 Prestige loaded. In a 50 miles radius there are about 14 prestige Q8

I would go X5 with the numbers you have posted. It just make more sense to anybody who is not a complete Audi diehard.
Interesting you don't have as many Q8 over there. There are plenty at North Texas dealers.

The SQ7/8 is comparable to the X5 M50i. The Q8 really doesn't compare to the M50i. Only caveat is that they're not available until July/August.

I would rather have the SQ7/8 over the X5 M50i.

Yes at more than likely close to msrp or 5% off. The BMW is the way better deal when I look at the numbers and it really handles way better than the Q8 and 523 HP 516 T. Made my decision. Unless the MB dealer gives me a great deal on a 2020 GLE 580.

Well, if I were to guess (and based on the typical price difference between a non-S and S), I would estimate the following prices:

SQ8 Premium Plus: $83k
SQ8 Prestige: $89k

Driver Assist Package (included in Prestige): $2 to $3k
Sports Package: $4k
Black Optics Package: $1.8k
Luxury Package: $3k

And I was able to secure 6% off of MSRP, even though the price hasn't even been announced yet. Just shop around.

That is about the pricing I was hoping and expecting from Audi.
Something tells me Audi may get ambitious and greedy with the powertrain they put in the SQ8 and make it $95-$100k though.

I'm with Breed on this one....
An A6 55 Prem Plus is $63500 to start...add in paint, sport, driver asist, pretty standard options...you are at $67890. S6 with sport and assist is $82240 with the 2.9T. A $14k difference without the V8 additional $$$.
Q8 Prem Plus starts at $72200, S-line, adaptive chassis, Lights, and assist has you at $82500. I could easily see the SQ8 being $95k+.
