2021 SQ8 Low Oil?
I have about 3600 miles on my 2021 SQ8 that I have owned for about 5-6 months. As I went to look thru the oil level screen, its down to 1/4 on the scale with a low oil on the side. The warning light is NOT on.
I find it very concerning that the oil scale is on low. Has anyone had this issue with a new car? I dont think a new 2021 should be burning oil like this.

my 2020 Sq8 has been doing this. After the 2nd low oil light came on the dealer has opened an investigation. I have under 5000km on the car. No conclusions yet.
There are a couple of other threads about this. Maybe click my user name to find it.

In my RSQ8, the “add 2 quarts max.” Light has come on 3 times.
The EA825 4.0 twin turbo V8 is a thirsty beast. With higher end engines such as this, I was told by Audi it’s not uncommon to burn off oil - especially during the first 10,000 miles. I’m finally at the 10K mark and my RSQ8 is due for an oil change. Hopefully I won’t have to “top it off” every two months like I’ve had to these first 6 months.
this is the message you may see next. You can stop by the dealer for a “top off” or buy a case of oil like I did. You should be able to find the oil, just make sure it’s the correct spec for your car. I couldn’t find the info in the 2020 manual in the Audi connect app. I had to ask the dealer to look it up.
mobil one 0W-40 ESP X3
note- my local auto parts stores had x2, took me a while to track down X3 as it’s a brand new spec.

I dunno bro, after the second time I took it in they told me Audi is aware of an issue with the TTV8’s and took the car for 2 days and now I have to bring it back every month for oil consumption measurements until they give me a verdict. My mechanic friend thinks the engine is shot. It’s a lease so I don’t really care that much.

I'm not a mechanic, but my understanding is that some oil burn is considered normal across a range of Audi/Porsche models. Over the past 10yrs I've had Cayenne, 911, Q5, Macan, Q8, Panamera Turbo, and now an SQ8. Of those, the Panamera burned oil at about 1qt/mo for the 2yrs I owned it. Never associated with any adverse effects during my ownership, but did make me anxious regarding potential engine longevity.

My SQ8 has gone through about 4 quarts of oil in the first 10k miles. The dealer advised me to drive it 630 miles after the 10k service and to bring it back in for a measurement. We'll see...
